Regional Scout - Sweden & Finland

Player Recruitment at F.C. København is responsible for identifying, evaluating and recommending playing talent across our First Team and Academy pathways. In this role you will be part of a bigger team and responsible for scouting U17-U20 players in Sweden and Finland. The role will require for you to reside in Sweden.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Player Identification & Evaluation
You will own your designated markets - building expert knowledge of the players, clubs and market dynamics needed to identify and evaluate players capable of meeting F.C. København's sporting objectives. You will deliver high-quality player evaluations, gather market information, and provide informed, decisive recommendations aligned with our position profiles, playing identity and squad planning. You will carry out video and live scouting assignments within your markets, operating independently in line with the club's priorities and taking on specific tasks as directed by senior staff, while handling your own logistics and match ticketing. You will also contribute evaluations on players outside your designated markets during the filtering phase of the scouting process.

Reporting & Systems
You will produce clear reports on player observations and relevant soft intelligence for F.C. København's scouting operations and keep an up-to-date scouting funnel for your assigned markets. You will ensure player information, notes and evaluations are accurate, well-structured, and easy for others to act on, and follow your assigned leagues and competitions in a structured way, flagging emerging talent and market trends.

Collaboration
You will report weekly on coverage, priority targets and market developments within your assigned leagues, and prepare and deliver pre-window analysis of your markets, including shortlists and recommendations. You will collaborate with our U17–U20 recruitment personnel on player tracking, reporting and market intelligence, and take an active role in scouting and recruitment meetings, contributing to discussions and critical analysis of profiles.

Qualifications and experience

• Several years of experience within football scouting, player recruitment or a similar talent identification role.
• An existing network and strong knowledge of the Swedish and Finnish football markets.
• A sharp eye for identifying and evaluating young talent (U17–U20), and the ability to translate what you see on the pitch into clear, structured and actionable reports.
• A solid understanding of position profiles, playing styles and squad-building principles.
• Comfortable working with scouting software and video analysis tools.
• Self-driven, with the ability to plan and manage your own schedule, travel and logistics independently.
• Strong communication skills, working closely with coaches, recruitment staff and colleagues across the organisation.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish and/or another Scandinavian language is an advantage.
• A background as a former player, coach or in a similar football environment is a plus.
